Kaizer Chiefs boss on Nabi’s exit news

As reported on Sunday, Kaizer Chiefs head coach and his entire technical staff are believed to be leaving the club in June.

KAIZER CHIEFS MANAGEMENT MAKE MASSIVE DECISION ON NASREDDINE NABI

Despite Saturday’s Nedbank Cup final victory over Orlando Pirates, TimesLIVE’s award-winning veteran journalist, Bareng-Batho Korjaas, has reported that Kaizer Chiefs have decided not to keep the Tunisian coach.

“Kaizer Chiefs will terminate the contract of coach Nasreddine Nabi at the end of the season,” BBK reported on TimesLive.

In the meantime, the Glamour Boys are still focused on securing a place in next season’s MTN8 with two games left for the season.

Amakhosi will take on SuperSport United on 17 May away, before hosting Polokwane City on Saturday, 24 May.

KAIZER MOTUANG JR. RESPONDS

In the meantime, 5FM sports reporter Xoli Zondo asked Kaizer Chiefs’ Sporting Director if Nabi is truly leaving.

“He has another season with us [as per the contract], and we do have a review after every season,” Motaung Jr said. “We sit down and review.

“We know that results in the league have been a bit inconsistent. You know we have just been able to achieve a record milestone.

“So with everything else, we are planning the way forward. We want to really saviour this moment in a massive and positive way. We look forward to galvanising the supporters, the tech team, the players and the staff for the mission ahead.

“So we are just planning for the future,” the Kaizer Chiefs boss concluded.
