Orlando Pirates have granted coach Jose Riveiro an early release from his expiring contract.
In a statement released on Monday, Pirates revealed that Riveiro will be on the bench for the final time against Golden Arrows on Tuesday.
Kick-off at Orlando Stadium is at 19:30.
Riveiro had earlier this year confirmed his intention to leave Pirates when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Now, following Pirates’ 2-1 loss to Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final, Riveiro asked to be released early.
The match against Amakhosi was Riveiro’s 130th in charge of the Sea Robbers since his arrival in 2022.
He has won 81, drawn 22 and lost 27. The Spaniard delivered five major trophies since joining Pirates.
