As previously reported by The South African, Jose Riveiro has been a wanted man in Egypt!

Both Zamalek and Al Ahly have been chasing the Orlando Pirates coach’s signature during recent weeks!

And now, reports suggest Al Ahly have won the race! According to reputable local journalist Lorenzo Kohler, the outgoing Bucs coach is heading for Cairo.

On his official Facebook account, Kohler confirmed the move saying “The Spanish guitar is heading to Cairo”.

Fellow African journalist Micky Junior broke the news earlier this morning that Jose Riveiro is the new Al Ahly head coach.

The Orlando Pirates coach signed a record-breaking two-year deal that will see him become the highest paid coach on the continent.
